For years we have been dressing the England Cricket squad and we pride ourselves on being able to provide the each of the players with their own formal suit, shirt and tie. These suits are worn by the Squad whenever they are required to swap their regulation whites for something a little more formal!
This exciting new collaboration with the South African Cricket Team means that from September this year our quintessentially British brand, which this year celebrates its 115th year on London’s Jermyn Street, has been made available in South Africa for the very first time across selected Edgars stores, including Eastgate, Fourways, Sandton City and Tygervalley.
To sew up the deal with Cricket South Africa, we have provided each member of the squad with a Taunton Suit, along with our white Poplin Shirt and the John Francomb Slim Navy Tie.
Our CEO, Geoff Quinn shared his excitement over this new partnership:
“We are both proud and honoured to provide suits to the Proteas for their formal appearances. We may bring English style and sensibility to their look but on the pitch it’s South African talent all the way!”
And it seems that the South African team is just as excited about our new joint venture as we are. The CSA Acting CEO Jacques Faul said:The South African Team are obviously keen to look good on and off the pitch. They are loving the opportunity to dress to perfection wearing these suits which perfectly showcase TM Lewin’s world of fine tailoring.
“The whole team, especially our sharp dressers Faf and Hash, will appreciate the distinction and calibre of T.M. Lewin!”
For Francois du Plessis, it is all about the tailored look.
“I love a suit. I’d wear one every day. I especially love tailored suits. I like to accessorise with cufflinks.”
