There’s nothing better than after work drinks with your friends, especially when the sun is shining and you can look forward to relaxing in a beer garden or at a BBQ.

However, when you’re dressed up in a suit and tie or a formal skirt, you may not feel like you can fully relax after a long day. You’re probably always on the go and don’t have time to rush home and change after work. You could bring a second pair of clothes, but who wants to lug around extra clothes all day?  So instead transform your workwear into something stylish that would work for outside of the office as well?

We take a look at some quick and easy ways to ensure your workwear wardrobe is suitable to go beyond the boardroom and into the evening – whatever the occasion.

Modern Tailoring
Going out in the evening in a suit may not be your first choice, but going straight from work can give you no other option. We have a number of men’s suits, however, for a trendier look, a good option are our slim-fit suits, which are appropriate for the corporate office and after work events too.
For women, opt for something simple, but add a hint of colour. Ladies dresses can be teamed with heels, statement jewellery and a fitted jacket for a stunning evening look. This Carol Shift Dress is perfect both dressed up and down.

Add a Jacket or Blazer
A Jacket or a Blazer can really help to make your outfit work well for the evening. For the summer, pick a lightly coloured jacket or alternatively one with a pop of colour to brighten up your outfit.
How about this McCartney Stone Washed Jacket for men, or for ladies, our Shani Coral Jacket would look amazing paired with fitted black trousers and a white shirt or a soft top.

Mix up your shirt
A white shirt is the perfect staple item which is suitable for all occasions depending on how you choose to style it. Gents, opt for a slim-fit shirt and make it more causal by removing  your tie, undo your top button and you’re good to go!
If you always wear formal shirts to work, why not try out more casual shirts (if your dress-code allows). For men, chequered shirts are very on trend. Or play it safe with a light coloured shirt, pink shirt Fridays are the perfect way to slowly introduce subtle flashes of colour into your workwear wardrobe. This Blue Oxford Button Down Casual Shirt is the perfect example of a versatile shirt suitable for the office environment, while also doubling up as a great men’s evening shirt for your night out.

We also have a number of ladies shirts and soft tops that will help brighten up your look with a splash of colour, such as this Joni Blue Pleated Shell Top:

Add Accessories
Adding accessories to your outfit is a quick and easy way to turn your workwear from day to night.
A key trend for men is pocket squares, with a range of fun colours and print, so for your evening look, try something more adventurous!
For ladies, invest in statement necklaces and killer heels which will instantly jazz up your outfit. The addition of a silk scarf can also make your workwear look a little more relaxed. Try this 100% silk Lilac Floral Scarf which would look perfect with a white top.
