Strictly Stylish Evening Wear

Strictly favourite (and Ex Towie star) Mark Wright dances his way across the pages of  Hello! magazine this week wearing the T.M.Lewin Mayfair dinner suit, dress shirt and accessories.  Photographed against the glamorous backdrop of the Savile Club in London’s mayfair, black tie was undoubtedly the perfect choice for such a super-glamorous shoot.

Ballroom dancing aside, the festive party season often calls for traditional evening attire and black tie has never fallen out of fashion. De rigeur amongst the upper classes during the Victorian era, it generally became reserved for ‘special occasions’ after the second World War and remains one wardrobe staple that will deliver rather stylishly,  function after function.

The Mayfair is a best-seller at T.M.Lewin. The secret of its success? We’ve kept the design sharp but classic. After all, this should be a sartorial investment to stand the test of time.  If you buy wisely, you can wear a great dinner jacket season after season and still look the business. But of course it’s not the only evening wear option out there on the formal party circuit these days. You can end up feeling a tad overdressed in traditional ‘black tie’ if the occasion lacks sufficient grandeur.  So for those more more relaxed festive affairs, consider a smart black slim or skinny fit suit –  worn with a crisp white shirt and a contemporary skinny tie this look should get you noticed for all the right reasons.

Evening accessories range from a more traditional velvet, silk or contemporary printed bow ties and a neatly folded pocket squares. And our latest AW14 collection brings with it too a brand new selection of cufflinks, tie clips and decorative pins to polish off your look

Explore the new AW14 Evening Collection here and invest in a dapper new wardrobe for Christmas that’s certain to score you a perfect 10.
