Knitwear that’s stylishly practical is an absolute must, as we all prepare to embark on the journey from late summer to autumn and then on into deepest, darkest winter.
And as summer becomes a distant memory transitional temperatures find us reaching for the heating switch, it’s time to audit your knitwear collection in time for some essential cold weather layering.
Here at T.M.Lewin we design our knits very specifically to stand the test of time. Not only are they really well made; we only use the best raw materials, having learned (with over 115 years of experience) that the cheap fabric option does nothing for look and feel. We’ve kept the designs simple too, so the Merino V Neck you bought from us last year will look just as good this year. Except this season, as with every new season, we’ve introduced new colours and added a few extra hero pieces too, so you can add to any growing collection of knitwear essentials.
A highlight for AW15 is our fine gauge long-sleeve polo. You can wear it with a pair of jeans or casual trousers but we think it also works rather beautifully with a navy suit. Likewise our stylish knitted waistcoats are both back by popular demand. Wear one under a suit jacket or casual blazer when it’s chilly, or layer up over a shirt whenever you need some extra insulation indoors.
Brand new this season is our navy fine gauge roll neck (coming soon), an ideal shirt and tie replacement for cold office days and dress down Fridays.
And if you prefer your knits chunky, we have those two. Look out for our new crew necks and cable knits. Each spun from the finest quality lambswool and available in a range of classic colours. And a new Merino wool option arrives to join them, in rich autumnal burgundy with a button neck (both £50).
Super-soft warmth has never been so stylish.
